THE JOURNEY
Twin Peaks Ridge is built around the contrast between a glowing sky and the darker weight of the land beneath it. The ridge is less a literal description than a structure through which the changing light can be felt.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PAINTING
THE JOURNEY
Twin Peaks Ridge is built around the contrast between a glowing sky and the darker weight of the land beneath it. The ridge is less a literal description than a structure through which the changing light can be felt.
IN THE STUDIO
The composition was simplified around broad tonal masses, allowing the warm atmosphere above the ridge to carry much of the emotional weight.

THE SURFACE
At distance, the marks resolve into landscape. Up close, the work returns to paint—edges, transparent passages, knife marks and areas where the surface remains deliberately active.
COLLECTOR'S NOTE
A dramatic ridge painting in which warm sky and dark land create a strong, distilled sense of place.
